Our story begins with my dad, Stephen, who learned his craft at Benedicks of Mayfair, Royal Warrant chocolatiers since 1962, before founding The Chocolatier in 1985. His dream was simple: to bring the finest Belgian chocolates and the best of British confectionery to people here in the UK. Over the years he worked with beloved names like Charbonnel et Walker, Valrhona and Mondose Neuhaus, supplying iconic stores such as Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, Selfridges, Jenners and other leading department stores.

When he met my mum, Greta, they chose to put down roots in Crieff and opened our first shop in 1990. It quickly became a cosy haven for chocolate lovers and a cherished part of the local community. Word spread, and before long, visitors were travelling from all over the UK to step into our shop and enjoy our chocolates in person.

Hi, I’m Fiona. I grew up in Crieff, behind the counter and in the kitchen, surrounded by the smell of chocolate and the smiles it brings. Today, I’m proud to carry on what my parents started and with a little help from my family, I’m bringing House of McNee online so our handmade treats can be enjoyed by chocolate lovers everywhere.
